Мilica Kadic

Milica Kadic graduated from the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Dr. Roksanda Pejović. During her studies, she led promotional activities and management and actively participated in the performances of the Collegium Musicum Academic Choir under the artistic direction of Darinka Matić-Marović.

After completing her studies, she worked as a professor of vocational music courses at Vatroslav Lisinski Secondary Music School in Belgrade (2001-2003). She trained in Naples on a course for professionals in culture and social activities (2003). Besides, she pursued her career in Jugokoncert (2003-2014), the largest regional institution for the production of musical events.

As a part of the project, she has participated in the organization and implementation of several thousand events, numerous guest appearances of the greatest orchestras in the world, ensembles and soloists, ballet troupes and alternative projects, world music and jazz concerts, mostly in Belgrade but also abroad (Sweden, Austria, France, Italy, Croatia).

From 2004 to 2007, she was a leader of the Musical LinksInternational Cooperation project between Sweden and the countries of the region ensuring the performances of the most important Serbian and Swedish ensembles and soloists in Sweden, Serbia and neighboring countries. Since 2014, she has been working at the Belgrade Festivals Centre (CEBEF) in the organization of artistic music season.

She actively collaborates in the implementation of BEMUS, the most important festival of artistic music in Serbia whose board member she has been for two terms. She was the president of the BEMUS Board and edited its 50th jubileee edition in 2018. The festival was declared to be The 2018 Festival due to this activity.

From 2021 to 2023, she was a local coordinator of the project for the promotion of new composers and performers of the Western Balkans co-financed by the #Synergy Sharpening the Capacities of the Classical Music Industry in the Western Balkans European Commission.
