Vida Vujić

Vida Vujić holds master’s degrees with honours in cello performance and chamber music performance (from the Kunstuniversität Graz, under Prof. Rudolf Leopold, and from the MDW, under Prof. Johannes Meissl). In addition, she has attended over twenty master classes with renowned cellists and chamber musicians.

Vida Vujić is an Assistant Professor at the Joseph Haydn Institute for Chamber Music and Contemporary Music at the MDW as well as at the International Summer Academy Prague-Vienna-Budapest (ISA) and the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). She won a number of first and second prizes at international competitions in Serbia, Italy, and Austria. She also received several prestigious awards such as the Award of the Austrian Ministry of Culture and the Stanojlo Rajičić Prize for Best Concert in 2006/07 at the Gallery of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She has played numerous concerts as a soloist as well as with chamber music ensembles in Europe and South America, e. g. at the festivals "Strings only" (Zadar, Croatia), "Cello Fest" (Belgrade, Serbia), and "Styriarte" in Graz, at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Musikverein Wien, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. She has recorded for Radio Television of Serbia and ORF.
