Silvana Grujić graduated in piano and musicology from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, she received her magister degree in film and media studies from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, after which she earned her PhD in musicology and media studies at the University of Novi Sad.
Silvana Grujić became an editor in the Music Department of Radio Television of Serbia in 1992. Since 2016 she has been occupying the position of editor-in-chief in this department. She is the author of numerous TV shows and series about music: Ad libitum, The World is Music, A tempo, Portraits of Musical Artists. She is also an editor and commentator of broadcasts of major music and media events, such as the Vienna Philharmonic New Year concert, Summer Night Concerts in Schönbrunn, the Eurovision Song Contest, and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2018 she was part of the committee for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Radio Television of Serbia. Additionally, she was a member of the RTS team, participating in the realization of the TEMPUS project at the Belgrade Faculty of Music between 2013 and 2014. Silvana Grujić has been the head of the Serbian delegation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2017. Throughout her career, she has presented papers at scientific conferences and participated in professional forums. She is a member of the EBU Music and Dance Experts reference group. Silvana Grujić has created and implemented a professional training programme approved by the Serbian Institute for Improvement of Education.
She served as a jury member for the TV music competition Virtuosos – We play the same languagе, which was held in Budapest in September 2020 and broadcast on public media services in Serbia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland in November and December 2020. Additionally, she was a member of the jury at the prestigious Rose d'Or festival in 2021.
Silvana Grujić is the initiator and editor-in-chief of the RTS Klasika – 24/7 Classical music television programme.
