The National Symphony Orchestra of Serbia was founded in 2024 in honour of the Fifth Anniversary of the Ravanelius Festival of Musical Exceptionality. Its main objective is to gather the best Serbian musicians, conductors, soloists,professors and students who will jointly improve the classical music scene in Serbia with new energy and an innovative approach.

The artistic direction of the orchestra will be aimed at fresh interpretations of classical music works with simultaneous performance of new compositions by Serbian authors. The objective of such an approach is not only to enrich and refresh Serbian musical heritage but also to give the audience insight into classical works through a new, modern prism and the opportunity to experience the best works od local composers more frequently. Education is another important aspect of the orchestra’s activities.

It will encompass the organization of master classes and workshops that will be led byeminent music pedagogues and visiting conductors. Such an approach will allow young and talented musicians to improve under the mentorship of experienced professionals which is of crucial importance for their artistic development.

Additionally, the National Symphony Orchestra of Serbia aspires to create dynamic, innovative and inspiring music scene that will be recognizable both on an international and local level. This Orchestra is not only a music ensemble but a symbol of new generation of Serbian musicians who will shape the future of classical music in Serbia with their high artistic skills, great pasion and careful dedication.
