David Horvat

Serbian-Dutch violinist David Horvat graduated from the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2016 under the tutelage of Prof. Natasha Boyarski. He then received a Scholarship Award to pursue his degree at the Royal College of Music in London, where he is currently working toward a master's degree under Prof. Radu Blidar. As a young student, he attended the School for Musically Gifted Children, where he was under the tutelage of Prof. Vladislav Bobić.

In 2008, at the age of eleven, he won First Prize at the Jaroslav Kocian International Violin Competition in Ústí nad Orlicí in the Czech Republic. Two years later, he featured as a young soloist with Dutch symphony orchestra "Het Brabants Orkest" (The Brabant Orchestra).

In 2014, he was awarded the ArtLink Musician of the Year Prize.

In August 2016, David Horvat attended the "colluvio" Chamber Music Academy.

In 2017, he was invited to play with the RTS Symphony Orchestra at the Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade where he performed Shostakovich's First Violin Concerto. In October 2019, he and his trio gave a series of concerts in Germany and Austria.

David Horvat performs on a Frédéric Chaudière violin, purchased with the invaluable support of the Albert Cooper Music Charitable Trust.
